A non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of golden retrievers and their friends

The Golden Ratio Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit inspired by our family of rescued golden retrievers. We focus on rescuing seniors, dogs with special medical needs, and hospice cases. Their journeys, which we share on @theGoldenRatio4, bring joy and inspiration to a kind and loving corner of the internet.

Our Foundation is set up to support the medical costs of our squad and to help other goldens and rescue groups who care for the dogs that bring us so much happiness.

We began fostering golden retrievers in 2013 with GRREAT in the DC area. Our first dog was a hospice case who we helped through the end of her life. Over the years, we fostered more than 20 dogs who stayed with us as they healed emotionally and physically before they went on to perfect homes.

Our first failed foster, Goldie, was a hospice case. We fed her her first peanut butter kong, took her to the beach, and gave her soft, warm, gentle last weeks. After that, we shifted to focusing on fostering seniors and dogs with special medical needs. We adopt almost all of these dogs that we foster now so we can be their final, loving home and give them the extensive care they need.

That care can be expensive, and the Golden Ratio Foundation will help support that. To learn more, check out our financial details page.
